By creating an account or using Owlgebra, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Owlgebra supports learners and families, including children. Students under 13 must have verifiable parental consent before using the learning service. Students age 13 or older may create an independent account or use a learner profile linked to a parent household. If a student is not old enough to enter a binding agreement where they live, they confirm that a parent or guardian has authorized their use of Owlgebra and any purchase.
When you submit a problem photo or support screenshot through Owlgebra's image tools, Owlgebra may crop, resize, rotate, and re-encode the image on your device before upload for privacy, readability, safety, and reliable operation. Owlgebra is designed to upload the newly processed image rather than the original source file so embedded photo metadata is not carried forward. If a safe processed copy cannot be created, Owlgebra may block the upload instead of sending the original image.
Image processing cannot remove personal information that is visibly present in the pixels. You are responsible for avoiding unnecessary sensitive information, names, faces, addresses, school information, or other private details in the area you choose to submit.
Owlgebra uses a combination of deterministic math rules and AI models to provide tutoring, quizzes, explanations, practice feedback, and other learning support. Some supported problems can be solved and checked without an AI model; other problems use AI and may receive an additional deterministic or model-based verification step. These checks reduce risk but do not guarantee that every answer or explanation is error-free. Students should verify important work with their teachers or textbooks. Owlgebra is a learning aid, not a replacement for professional instruction.
Math Pad is part of supported learning activities, not a separate general-purpose work-review service. Checked core results, optional practice, and alternate explanations may load at different times. A correct final answer is not proof that every submitted step is valid, and assisted activity is not automatically treated as independent mastery. Speed and availability vary with the problem, device, connection, and services used.
Owlgebra offers Free, Plus, and Premium subscription tiers, plus one-time Solve Packs. Recurring plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe and can be canceled at any time. Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy and applicable law. Independent students age 13 or older can manage their own plan. Checkout and billing changes on an under-13 student account require a short-lived authorization created by a successful parent-PIN check.
Multi-learner households: Each subscription tier supports a maximum number of learner profiles (1 on Free, up to 3 on Plus, up to 10 on Premium). Linked learners inherit the household plan and cannot purchase a separate subscription from their linked student session. Plus Solve and Ask Pip allowances are shared across the household, whether a supported solve uses deterministic rules or an AI model. Premium includes unlimited use for normal personal learning, subject to safeguards against abuse. Ordinary quiz and flashcard allowances are per learner; Test Prep has separate allowances shown in the app. The household owner is responsible for its learner profiles and for obtaining any parental consent required for a child learner.
Owlgebra may award in-app points for qualifying practice, quiz participation, daily goals, and consistency. Streak multipliers and bonus amounts are intentionally limited and may change as we tune the learning system. Points are promotional in-app units only: they have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be sold or exchanged for money. Where available, points may be used for Owlgebra perks or toward a Goal Reward created or approved by a parent or guardian.
A parent-set Goal Reward is a private family agreement. Owlgebra records progress and can notify the household, but Owlgebra does not supply, fund, guarantee, or enforce the real-world reward. Streak recovery is designed to encourage renewed practice after a missed day; eligibility and frequency limits may apply.
Owlgebra is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will improve academic performance. Use of the app is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Owlgebra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Independent users can delete their own account and data. Parents can request deletion of an under-13 account they consented to through the Parent Dashboard. Household owners can remove linked learner profiles and their associated learning data from Household (or Profile → Settings → Household on eligible non-parent accounts). A parent does not control an independent student's account solely because that student is age 13-17. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
