No. Eligible first-time Plus subscribers can choose a 7-day trial or use “Subscribe Now” to pay immediately for the same Plus access. A trial renews into your selected paid plan unless you cancel before its end time. Premium and paid-now Plus start with payment at checkout. Creating a Free account does not start a paid subscription.

Learners age 13 or older can create an independent account; a parent or guardian must agree to the Terms of Service for anyone under 18. Parents who want to manage a household use their own account to set up linked learners, view progress, and manage family settings. Learning for children under 13 stays blocked until parental verification is complete. That process includes a disclosed $0.50 card-verification charge that is automatically refunded; it is not a subscription.

You can start with a Quick Answer or follow Step-by-Step from the same checked solve. Pip explains what to do and why, with alternate explanations and practice where available. Math Pad lets you show your written steps inside supported learning activities; it is not a separate general-purpose work-review service.

Yes. Use Owlgebra in a supported mobile or desktop browser. Type a problem or upload a photo, crop to the math, and review the text Owlgebra reads before solving. Voice input is available in supported browsers. An internet connection is needed; avoid including names, faces, or other personal details in uploaded work.

Yes—Math skill practice, learning links, and full-length Math practice simulations. Free includes starter skills and one SAT Math plus one ACT Math simulation per learner per calendar month (UTC). Plus and Premium include unlimited Test Prep practice for normal personal use. These are original Owlgebra questions, not official exams or official score predictions, and do not include the non-math sections. Owlgebra is not affiliated with or endorsed by College Board or ACT.

Linked families can review each learner separately in the parent experience. Plus and Premium include weekly parent progress emails; Free includes a monthly sample. Reports depend on recorded activity and your email preferences, and distinguish guided work from independent evidence. They are learning summaries, not a guarantee of mastery or a diagnosis.

For a Stripe-billed plan, the account owner can open Account → Manage billing. A confirmed cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund a previous payment. The Refund Policy explains the first-payment 14-day exception, Solve Packs, and how to contact support.

Owlgebra combines programmed math rules with AI-assisted features. Photos, tutoring messages, and relevant learning context may be processed by service providers. Automated tutoring can make mistakes. Check that the problem was entered or read correctly, and use the in-app feedback tools or contact support to report a concern. Verify important work with a teacher or trusted reference. Our Math Accuracy page explains the checks and their limits.
